The Dosatron is a water-powered dosing pump that injects concentrated chemicals into water lines. The water-powered Dosatron units are carbon neutral, alleviating the constly need for electricty.

The Dosatron non electric proportional dispenser works according to the volumetric principle. The water pressure in the pipeline, in which the dispenser is installed, drives the "motor" piston linked to a "dosing" plunger, in a reciprocating and volumetric movement. (1 cycle = 1 volume of water). The dosing plunger sucks up and injects a precise and constant quanity of concentrated product into the water. Consequently, a perfectly homogeneous solution is delivered by the network downstream of the dispenser. The precision of the dosage is independent of variations in flow and pressure of the water supply and of the viscosity of the product to be injected.

The two known parameters needed to choose a Dosatron pump are maximum gallons per min. flow from the water supply and the percent solution (injection ratio) of injected dosage.
